Hotel Boutique is a small property that lives on experience: carefully kept rooms, personal service and a place with charm. They leaned on booking portals that took a commission on every night. They wanted a site of their own, as beautiful as the hotel, to win back the direct booking.
The challenge
In boutique hospitality, the website is the first room a guest sees. The one they had didn’t do the hotel justice: small photos, a clunky booking step and the whole weight of sales landing on OTAs like Booking. Every portal booking was a commission walking out the door. The challenge was to build a visual experience worthy of the place and, above all, give a clear reason to book direct.
What we did
We designed and built the hotel’s full website:
- An immersive full-screen gallery with high-quality photography.
- Room pages with detail, amenities and rates.
- A direct booking system integrated into the site.
- Experience blocks: surroundings, dining, hotel services.
- A premium, restrained design, fully focused on the imagery.
- SEO to capture brand and area searches.
How we built it
The technical challenge was serving lots of large images without sacrificing speed. We used modern formats, responsive sizes and lazy loading, with the site deployed on Cloudflare Pages. That kept LCP under a second even though the gallery is visually heavy.
We held accessibility at AA — contrast, focus, text alternatives on images — without breaking the aesthetic. The booking engine is built into the flow itself, with no jump to third parties, so the guest isn’t lost at the last step. SEO reinforces the brand so that whoever searches for the hotel lands on its own site, not the portal.
Results
With a website worthy of the hotel and direct booking well resolved, direct bookings rose and the reliance on portal commissions dropped. Fast loading sustains the premium feel from the first second.
