Horno de Mamá is a lifelong artisan bakery: fresh daily bread, family-recipe pastries and specials that change every week. They sold over the counter and took orders by phone, with no way to order online. They wanted a website that smelled like the oven and let people reserve products without calling.

The challenge

The bakery lives on fresh product and regulars. The problem was twofold: anyone wanting to order a cake or reserve bread for the weekend had to call during shop hours, and the weekly specials reached no one beyond the sign on the door. They needed to bring that counter online without losing the homemade tone or saddling the owner with a hard-to-use panel.

What we did

We built the bakery’s online store:

  • A catalog of breads, pastries and products with photo and price.
  • A weekly specials section, easy to swap out every Monday.
  • Online orders and custom requests, with in-store pickup.
  • A family-story page to give the brand context.
  • A simple cart and checkout, ready from day one.
  • A warm, artisan design, far from cold e-commerce.

How we built it

We went for a very fast store: a static site on Cloudflare Pages, optimized images and sub-second loads on mobile, which is where people look when a craving hits. The owner updates the catalog and the specials herself in minutes, no code required.

The order flow is short and built for in-store pickup, which is how the bakery works. We kept accessibility at AA and a clear product structure so finding the bread or pastry takes a couple of taps.

Results

With the online store and the specials visible beyond the counter, web orders grew and the share of customers who come back to buy rose. The near-instant load helps close the craving before it cools off.
