Restaurante Gourmet lived on phone reservations and on showing up in other people’s directories. We built them their own website, with the menu kept current and booking handled online, and worked their local ranking so anyone searching for somewhere to eat nearby finds them first.

The challenge

The restaurant relied on the phone for bookings and on scattered photos on social media to present itself. The menu changed by season, but the old one was still online. And searching “restaurant” in the area surfaced the aggregators before the venue itself. They needed a site that sold the place and captured bookings at any hour.

What we did

Website design, content strategy and local SEO:

  • An interactive digital menu, editable by season and with photos of every dish.
  • Online booking with confirmation, no phone required.
  • A food gallery showing the dining room, the kitchen and the dishes.
  • An optimized Google Business profile linked to the site.
  • Copy and structure aimed at the local keyword.
  • A takeaway section with its own menu.

How we built it

The site loads fast on mobile because nearly all of a restaurant’s traffic comes from phones, often from someone standing on the street deciding where to eat. We optimized dish images without losing sharpness and tuned LCP so the menu appears instantly.

Local SEO was the backbone: restaurant structured data, opening hours and location consistent between the site and Google Business, and content written for the area’s real searches. The site meets AA accessibility, with contrast and keyboard navigation, and booking takes only a few steps so diners aren’t lost along the way.

Results

With online booking open around the clock, direct reservations grew and the phone stopped being the only channel. The takeaway section doubled those orders, and the venue climbed into the top 3 of its local search, ahead of the aggregators.
