Fitness Center is a neighborhood gym with group classes and in-house trainers. They brought in members almost entirely by word of mouth and walk-ins. They wanted a website that explained plans and schedules and let people sign up without stepping up to the front desk.
The challenge
The gym was up against large chains that already ranked first on Google. Their audience searches for specific things: “gym near me”, “spinning classes”, “monthly membership no contract”. Without an organized site or a local search presence, that traffic went to competitors. And anyone who did find the old site couldn’t see the plans clearly or how to join.
What we did
We built a website aimed at winning members:
- Membership plans side by side, with price and terms in plain sight.
- A class schedule by day and discipline, easy to read on mobile.
- Trainer profiles to put a face to the team.
- Online sign-up with no trip to the front desk.
- Copy and structure made to turn a visit into a membership.
- Local SEO to show up for “gym near me” and class-based searches.
How we built it
We started from positioning: we researched the neighborhood’s real searches and built the page architecture around them, one per intent (plans, classes, trainers, schedules). The copy gets to the point — what each plan includes, no fine print — because that’s where the membership is decided.
On the technical side, a fast site on Cloudflare Pages, AA accessibility and local business structured data with hours and location, tied to the gym’s listing. Online sign-up is a short flow, made to be completed from a phone in the waiting room or on the couch.
Results
With local SEO in place and a clear path to joining, online sign-ups rose and the gym added new members every month. Organic traffic doubled once it started showing up for the searches the chains used to capture.
